Inspired dancer and fully qualified gymnasium and fitness instructor Karen Barroso established the Fit 2 Dance Studio Alvor in April 2010.
Karen moved to the Algarve 22 years ago following a lifelong career in dance. Dancing from the age of two at the Hylton Bromley School of Dance, her passion continued as she joined the Elliott Clarke stage school in Liverpool.
On a professional level Karen performed at the Empire Theatre and the Playhouse in Liverpool, and then went on to perform throughout the UK and internationally leading her to Portugal.
Classes available at the studio include Step, Pilates, Yoga and Stretch, Legs Bums and Tums, and Body Sculpt. Dance classes such as Ballet, Modern, Funky Jazz, Tap, Oriental Dance and Baby Ballet are also offered.
All classes lead to a performance, staged to an audience twice a year.
New to the studio is Zumba fitness and a new class ‘Show Time’ will also begin in April and take place every Friday at 6pm.
A versatile payment plan to suit everyone is available from pay as you go, monthly class cards or a 10 class card valid for 6 months.
