Members of the community across the Algarve will be remembering those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy today as Remembrance Sunday is marked.
British Consul Clive Jewell will be laying a wreath in remembrance before a service to be held at St Luke’s Church in Monte da Palhagueira Village near Gorjões at 10.50am while Paddy Turner and Masie Skodbo will also lay a wreath on behalf of the Royal British Legion of the Algarve.
There will be an Exhortation spoken by Martin Watts before Scott Natzke plays the Last Post on the bugle, then a two minute silence will be followed by Reveille.
A Remembrance Service will also be held at the Nossa Senhora da Luz Church in Praia da Luz from midday.
