Leroy Merlin has opened its 12th DIY superstore in Portugal at the IKEA mega complex in Loulé.
The 10,000sqm store was officially inaugurated on Friday, December 15 and is the brand’s second store in the Algarve, the other being located in Guia.
In a statement, the retailer says that the new store sells over 37,000 products and offers services in the areas of “DIY, construction, decoration, bathrooms, kitchens and gardening”.
Over 150 jobs were created with the opening of the store.
“Leroy Merlin continues its expansion plan for Portugal which is based on a strategy to have stores all over the national territory,” the retailer said.
The next two Leroy Merlin stores to open will be in Leiria and Aveiro in 2018.
