Leona Lewis, British R&B star and winner of the third season of the UK’s ‘The X Factor’ talent show, has been confirmed as the special guest of the 18th Sheraton Algarve & Pine Cliffs Resort Summer Gala, which will be taking place on August 8 at the Pine Cliffs Golf Academy.
Since winning ‘The X Factor’ back in 2006, Leona Lewis has become one of the world’s most famous and successful contemporary R&B artists, having already won two MTV Music Awards and two World Music awards, among others. Lewis is also a three-time Grammy Award nominee.
Her first single – a cover of Kelly Clarkson’s ‘A Moment Like This’ – was made available for download on the same night she won ‘The X Factor’, and 30 minutes later had already been downloaded 50,000 times.
Lewis is yet another top-class artist to grace the stage of the gala, following equally impressive acts like Joe Cocker, George Benson, Bryan Ferry, Lionel Richie, Michael Bolton, or last year’s guest Ne-Yo.
Four types of tickets are available. Two for those who only wish to see the concert, and another two for those who also want to participate in the welcome cocktail, the dinner party and the after party.
The first two are being sold at Fnac and online ticket booth Bilheteira Online, while the others must be purchased by contacting the Sheraton.
