Despite solar and terrestrial winds doing their best to upset things during Legion Air Day on July 1, Portugal Branch Royal British Legion member Peter Weaver managed to make contact via a Special Event Radio Link using HF radio with UK Swadlingcote RBL Branch from his garden high in Monchique. The event was arranged as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
