The legal age for retirement in Portugal is to increase by another month, effective from 2021.
In other words, until 2021, people can continue taking retirement at the age of 66 years and five months, afterwards, they will have to work until they reach the age of 66 years and six months.
The news follows data from the National Statistics Institute which shows average life-spans are increasing.
