Syria continues phased pull out of Lebanon
Syrian intelligence agents began evacuating their Beirut headquarters in response to demands by the US and Lebanon. The move is part of an agreement, which will eventually see Syria end three decades of occupation in the country. The country agreed to move its troops out of Lebanon after the February 14 assassination of ex-Prime Minister, Rafik al-Hariri. Pictures of Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, and his late father Hafez have been removed, along with other equipment from the offices in the Ramlet al-Baida district.
