A demonstration on how to make coriander xerém (a type of traditional corn-based delicacy) with mackerel fillets will be held at Tavira’s municipal museum on Saturday (February 20), starting at 10.30am.
The workshop will be led by Chef Margarida Vargues and nutritionist Laura Silvestre, who will provide some insight on the dish’s nutritional benefits.
It is part of the ‘Dieta Mediterrânica Todo o Ano’ (Mediterranean Diet All Year Long) programme, which aims to promote activities related to the UNESCO-prized diet and other traditions in Tavira.
