Lawyers visit Intermezzo defendant

LAWYER Gilbert Collard is travelling to Portugal next week to visit Corinne Caspar at Odemira Prison, accompanied by Porto lawyer António Vilar.

Caspar is one of two people charged with the murder of French sailor, Andres Le Floch on board his trimaran, the Intermezzo, which overturned off the coast of Sagres on August 17, 2006.

Collard, Caspar’s lawyer in France, cannot represent her in Portugal as he is not registered with the Portuguese Ordem dos Advogados and so this visit is hoped to sway Portuguese lawyer, António Vilar, to represent her.
