German prosecutors who almost two years ago claimed to have ‘solved the Madeleine case’ – the disappearance of British three year old Madeleine McCann while on holiday in the Algarve over 14 years ago (click here) – are faced with a new ‘investigation’ insisting the suspect they claim ‘did the deed’ has a rock solid alibi. The Germans have failed to press charges, or make any concrete advances following their claims. This purported ‘alibi’ gels with previous testimony from the suspect himself, his lawyer and the former PJ detective that led the original investigation into Madeleine’s disappearance. According to British investigator, former detective with Surrey police Mark Williams-Thomas, the case built by the Germans is destined to ‘collapse’.
