The brave fight to save “Quinta dos Ingleses” – the last pine forest in Cascais (click here) – appears to have been lost. Expresso reports that in spite of all the opposition, the municipality is determined: the development for over 800 homes and a hotel has been approved and to not move forwards with it could carry the risk of €300 million in fines.
