Landlords in Lisbon are said to be cancelling rental contracts following the government’s ‘brake’ on rent increases of more than 2%. The situation puts 800 families “at risk of being evicted”, says the Association of Lisbon tenants which is calling for ‘new measures’ to safeguard what are some of the country’s most vulnerable renters.
