THE REGIONAL Tourism Board for the Planície Dourada (Golden Plain), which encompasses Aljustrel, Almodôvar, Alvito, Barrancos, Beja, Castro Verde, Cuba, Ferreira do Alentejo, Mértola, Moura, Ourique, Serpa and Vidigueira, is organising a Lamb Gastronomy Week to take place from March 21 to 27. A total of 50 restaurants from across the region are due to participate in the initiative that offers food lovers the opportunity to taste a range of the best traditional lamb dishes from southern Alentejo.
