Lagos’ Santo Amaro market closed on Monday (February 3) to undergo renovations.
The overhaul will involve fixing the market’s roof and the pavement near the fish stalls.
The market is expected to reopen on March 20. Some of the market’s vendors have moved to two other municipal markets until the Santo Amaro market reopens.
Meantime, the town’s Levante market is also due to undergo renovations soon. A tender for the works was launched in December 2019.
