Renovations are due to begin soon at Lagos’ old cemetery.
Says the local council, the works will include painting the outside walls and renovating the cemetery’s mausoleum and ossuary.
The revamp is expected to last 150 days and will involve transferring the human remains kept at the affected buildings to the town’s new cemetery.
The council adds that the renovations will not affect the operation of the cemetery, which will remain open during its usual hours.
