Lagos’ Dr. José Formosinho Museum and Casa Fernando Pessoa (Lisbon) are the only Portuguese nominees in the running to win the 2023 European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA).
Thirty-three museums have been nominated for the award, created in 1977 to “recognise excellence in the European museum scene.”
The winner will be announced during the EMYA2023 Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony, due to take place in Barcelona between May 3-6, 2023.
