Lagos hotel receives award

Urs Wild, general manager of the Romantik Hotel Vivenda Miranda, based at Porto de Mós in Lagos, was delighted to be presented with the 2004 Most Excellent European Waterside Hotel award at London’s Dorchester Hotel recently. The prestigious award is one of several awards for excellence handed out every year by Condé Nast Johansen to properties around the world that are judged to represent the finest standards and best value for money. The selection is made after studying comments and ratings in guest survey reports and a visit from Johansen inspectors. The happy recipient, Urs, commented: “This recognition makes all the hard work and long hours of detail well worth all the effort. This award shows that an Algarve resort can compete with the very best and it is a fitting tribute to the high standards of cuisine, service and décor at the Romantik Hotel Vivenda Miranda.”
