An urban sketching workshop led by Algarve film producer and artist BJ Boulter and the coordinator of Urban Sketchers Algarve, Hélio Boto, is taking place on March 12 (Saturday) in Lagos from 2pm.
The meeting point is the Centro Work & Event Space, but the workshop will be held in Lagos’ old town, where alleys and the typical old buildings will be drawn.
The goal is to explain “how to choose where and what to sketch in a street scene and the value of creating depth of field”. Cost is €10.
There will also be an art material fair at 5pm where people can bring along art materials they no longer use and would like to swap or give away.
Half-an-hour later, an exhibition entitled ‘Algarve Sketches’ will be inaugurated.
