Lagos hosts Easter traditions exhibition

An exhibition focusing on “all the things you don’t know about Easter eggs” and other Easter traditions will be held at Lagos’ Posto Municipal de Exposições between March 1 and April 2.

The display will be brought to life by German artist Timo Dillner.

As he explains, eggs have been linked to “fertility and rebirth for a long time”.

“In Egyptian tombs, clay eggs were found 2000BC. Painted eggs have also been found during digs in Greece and are believed to date back to as far as 500BC,” the artist said in a press release.

Other interesting facts are promised for the exhibition, which is free and can be visited between 10am and 6pm.
