A charity walk to raise funds for the local CASLAS children’s home will take place in Lagos on Saturday, October 28.
The Lagos Wellness Challenge is open to everyone and will feature a five-kilometre route starting and finishing at the local train station. The route will give participants the opportunity to enjoy the views offered by the local marina and Meia Praia beach.
A donation of at least €10 is all that is required to take part in the event.
The check-in is scheduled for 9am, with the walk due to begin at 9.30am. This will be followed by a prize-giving ceremony and a raffle at 11.30am at the Rock Mar Café.
The event is organised by Well Done You! and Blue Fleet Boat Trips & Tours and mainly aims to raise much-needed funds for the children’s home at CASLAS (Centro de Assistência Social Lucinda Anino dos Santos), a social solidarity institution founded over 90 years ago in Lagos. It also aims to promote an active lifestyle and highlight the importance of physical activity.
