Lagos’ 28th half-marathon is taking place on Sunday (May 8) at 10am and is open to anyone who wants to run or walk the distance.
The event begins at the Marina Club Lagos Resort, continues along Avenida dos Descobrimentos towards Meia Praia and ends at the marina.
The 21km route will be “mostly flat”, making it “less demanding and more appropriate for anyone who wants to take part”.
There will also be a smaller 5km route through the town, for “families and friends who want to take part without worrying about the chronometer”.
“This is a unique competition due to its fantastic environment as well as the beauty of the town,” said Jorge Candeias, the president of Olímpico Clube de Lagos.
Registrations are open until May 6, costing between €4 and €10.
