Lagoa’s string of street markets ‘Mercadinho de Rua’ has its last events scheduled for September 27 and October 4.
Between 9am and midday, the town’s Rua 25 de Abril will fill up with traders, selling everything from local organic produce to handicrafts.
Says the local council, the initiative was prompted as a solution to revive the town centre.
With children in mind, there will be inflatable castles and face painting, while elsewhere musical entertainment is being laid on by Bruno Cunha and Duo Sax.
