Lagoa’s latest legal mind

Andreia Correia is a 32-year-old lawyer who opened a new office in Lagoa last September.

Having obtained some excellent results in college, Andreia was fortunate enough to be accepted into one of Europe’s best universities, in Coimbra, where she studied law, something she had dreamt about since she was in her early teens.

Andreia has worked in the legal profession since 2001, having worked at a law firm in Albufeira before setting up her own practice in Lagoa.

“I chose to settle in Lagoa due to its close proximity to Carvoeiro and because it is an area with lots of development.” she says. She also has a small office in Loulé.

English-speaking Andreia primarily works with foreign residents in Portugal and deals with everything from property matters, criminal law, family law, wills, commercial and labour law, to helping with a number of bureaucratic problems.

Continuing to train on a regular basis in order for her to keep up-to-date with the latest laws and regulations, Andreia is happy to help people in all aspects of law, although she does have a particular fondness for property law.

“I also enjoy dealing with labour and family law – the latter being particularly useful for foreigners in Portugal who need help with wills.”

Andreia has chosen to work alone, “I like to do all the work myself. It’s better for me and it’s better for my clients. I like to do everything as I can be more organised”, she says.

“Although in the future I may well change my mind!”
