A new group to aid writers with their work will be beginning on September 6 in the library in Lagoa.
The writing circle group is aimed at like-minded people who are asked to bring along a sample of their work (around 500 words) to then take part in group exercises including listening to criticism and praise and exchanging ideas.
The writing circle, run by Jenny Grainer, will be taking place on the first Tuesday morning of every month between 10.30am and 12.30pm in the library in Lagoa and costs €5 to take part in.
“If you are writing a short story, an article or have any work in progress it is always worth listening to other people’s views on your work. If you are a beginner this is an ideal way to progress,” said Jenny Grainer.
