The suspect was caught red-handed by police and led to Portimão Court to be heard. He was released after being interrogated.
Investigations will now be made by the authorities before further action is taken.
The arrest followed tight surveillance from the GNR police in Lagoa dos Salgados, where hunting traps had been detected in the past.
