Lagoa’s Carlos do Carmo auditorium will host a performance of ‘Bastien & Bastienne’, the classic comic opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, on Saturday, January 22 at 7pm.
The performance will be led by João de Brito under the musical direction of Elsa Mathei and will feature singers Michele Tomaz, Marios Maniatopoulos and Francisco Brazão accompanied by the D’Aquém Mar orchestra.
‘Bastien & Bastienne’ was one of Mozart’s first works, composed when he was just 12 years old.
The performance will also feature a Portuguese sign language translator to ensure it is open to “everyone without exception”.
Tickets cost €6 and can be purchased online at ticketline.sapo.pt or at the auditorium’s ticket office.
