THE ALGARVE Orchestra gave the inaugural concert at the long-awaited opening of the Lagoa Municipal Auditorium last week. With a programme of Mozart and Beethoven, the conductor was Álvaro Cassuto and the evening featured piano soloist Eleonaora Karpoukhova. The new theatre was opened by Lagoa Câmara President, José Inácio. Among various dignitaries present was former Governor of Macau, General Rocha Vieira.
