Showcasing the best seafood Lagoa has to offer is the main aim of ‘O Mar à Sua Mesa’ (From the Sea to Your Table), a gastronomic initiative that begins today (June 6) and will run until June 30 at more than 30 local restaurants.
Diners will be able to enjoy a variety of fish and shellfish dishes cooked traditionally as well as with some special additions to celebrate the occasion.
The town is hosting the Year of the Sea (Ocean of Senses) this year, thus this latest initiative is designed to “promote the quality of local gastronomy – especially its seafood – while also encouraging the use of regional produce and bolstering local businesses”.
