The municipality of Lagoa has announced the creation of the Employment Portal, which is a valuable online strategy to fight the increasing unemployment rate in the area.
In December 2012, a total of 1,887 people living in the Lagoa council were registered at the Employment and Training Centre of Portimão, 213 more than in the same month of 2011.
The increasing unemployment rate in Lagoa demanded a new strategy to reverse this trend. The Employment Portal, or Portal do Emprego, created by the municipality will be available to all residents of Lagoa parishes from February 18 at the municipal website.
