Lagoa organises local art exhibition

Local artists invited to sign up for joint exhibition

Lagoa Council is inviting local artists to sign up for ‘Abril Traz Novas Cores’ (April Brings New Colours), an exhibition which will run from April 26 to May 31 at the Manuela Vale Gallery of Lagoa’s Mestre Fernando Rodrigues Art School.

Says the council, the first edition of the event was “hugely successful and very well received by the community of artists and the general public despite having been held in critical times of the pandemic.”

Categories in which artists can present works vary between multimedia art, artistic ceramics, drawing, sculpture, photography, installation, painting or other cross-disciplinary or artistic variants.

Artists of any nationality, residing or working in the municipality of Lagoa, can present works.

To participate, artists must send an email with their name, contact, short biographical note, and online site, accompanied by an image file (name of the artist.jpg, max. size 10 MB) and information about the piece (title, year, technique, dimensions) to [email protected]

The exhibition will be free and open to visits between 9.30am and 12 noon and 2.30pm and 5pm on weekdays.
