Lagoa Council has created a support office for farmers and winemakers at the local FATACIL fairground.
It will be open for in-person meetings every Wednesday from 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm.
Lagoa Mayor Luís Encarnação has described the office’s opening as “vitally important” to local farmers and winemakers.
“Every day they are faced with a lot of legislation and a lack of technical support, which many times means they lose access to extremely important community funding,” he said.
