Lagoa mayor

Dear Editor,

Whilst reading your article about ADAP in Portimão, I clicked onto several other articles including the one about the mast in Lagoa.

What surprised me most was the remark by the mayor saying he does not need to inform residents about the things he does!

Surely councils in Portugal, like any other democratic organs, are elected by their residents and those who elect them and put them into positions of power have every right to know what their elected mayors and councillors are doing and intend to do.

As it is election year, I presume that voters in Lagoa will think very hard about who they vote for this time.
