Lagoa seeks to promote itself as “attractive year-long destination”
Lagoa Council has launched a new “ambitious” campaign entitled ‘Welcome to Lagoa’, aimed at promoting the municipality as an “attractive year-long destination.”
The campaign was launched on Saturday, August 20 at Lagoa’s Fatacil fair by local mayor Luís Encarnação “at a time when tourism is recovering, with occupation levels in the summer months which surpass those registered before the pandemic,” the council says.
It will be promoted in the press and “several digital formats and social media” until the end of October and will shine the spotlight on everything Lagoa has to offer as a tourism destination, with “growingly diversified and segmented products which meet the demands and tendencies of the market after the pandemic years.
“Lagoa, named in 2021 as one of the safest destinations in Europe, has unique conditions for tourism all year long, not just during the traditional high (summer) season, such as some of the best golf courses in the country, a quality selection of gastronomy, especially wine tourism, and countless kilometres of walking trails,” the council says.
A promotional video can be viewed on YouTube, while a website has been launched with information in Portuguese and English.
The campaign will also be promoted in billboards in Lisbon and Porto and on social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
