Lagoa’s job and entrepreneurship fair (FEEL 2020) will take place on February 7 and 8 at Centro de Congressos do Arade in Lagoa.
Open to everyone, the event hopes to bring employers and job seekers together while also promoting training opportunities, internships, job offers, support programmes for investors and university education courses that are available in Lagoa and the Algarve.
In September, Lagoa Mayor Luís Encarnação said that the council wants the event, now in its second year, to be “more proactive”.
“We will bring together companies, the business fabric of Lagoa, and discuss what is most needed,” says Lagoa mayor Luís Encarnação. “What are the opportunities for job seekers? What are the needs of companies in Lagoa and the Algarve? What type of candidates are they looking for?”
He also said the event aims to fill vacancies in some key areas such as urban waste collection and the hotel sector.
The event will take place between 10am and midnight on the first day, opening at 2pm the following day. Entrance is free.
