Lagoa installs “energy-efficient

Lagoa installs “energy-efficient” LED streetlights along EN125

Lagoa is replacing its streetlights with new energy-efficient LED lights.

The works are taking place along the town’s section of the EN125 road in a bid to improve lighting for pedestrians and drivers, especially near areas such as zebra crossings.

A total of 31 LED lights are being installed in the borough, representing a €73,000 investment, says the council.

Meantime, the council has also called on energy company EDP to “reformulate the network” in the areas surrounding two of the town’s main roundabouts near the FATACIL fairground entrance and the bus station.
