Lagoa is organising a night-time astronomy event entitled ‘Astronomy in Summer’, which will take place on Saturday, July 22 from 9pm to 11.30pm at Praia da Marinha.
The event is described as a “night-time astronomical observation with the naked eye, telescope, and television” by the Algarve Science Centre, which is organising the event along with Lagoa Council.
“The image from the telescope will be projected on a screen for us to see details that our eyes are not sensitive to. We will search for constellations, bright stars, the Moon, and other objects within or beyond the Solar System,” it adds.
The event is free but registration is required.
