An orchestra from Castelo Branco will be performing ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ at Centro de Congressos do Arade in Parchal on Saturday, November 21.
‘Rhapsody in Blue’ is a musical composition by American composer George Gershwin dating back to 1924.
Described as a “fantastic programme for anyone who loves erudite music,” the show will also feature a performance of Symphony No.5 by Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
The orchestra – including 80 musicians from Castelo Branco’s ESART art school – will be led by maestro José Eduardo Gomes, with pianist Armando Mota as the soloist.
