Lagoa is organising a day of festivities in honour of Our Lady of Light (Nossa Senhora da Luz) tomorrow (Saturday).
There will be a celebration of Mass at the main church (Igreja Matriz de Lagoa) at 9am and in the afternoon at 5.30pm. A procession will then follow at 7pm through the streets of Lagoa.
Stalls selling a variety of goods and fun activities to mark the day are part of the programme of events taking place at the church square, Largo dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra.
Musical entertainment will be by Portuguese singer Toy.
