Lagoa creates ‘urban rehabilitation areas’ and helps property owners with renovations

Lagoa council is creating ‘urban rehabilitation areas’ (ARU) in its parishes – Lagoa, Carvoeiro, Estômbar, Ferragudo, Mexilhoeira da Carregação, Parchal and Porches. Thus anyone who owns property in these areas will be able to apply for funding to carry out renovations. The goal is to “improve the urban environment by renovating old buildings,” Lagoa mayor Francisco Martins told Sulinformação.
