Lagoa will host its 18th Choir Week between May 8-15.
The free event which charges no admission brings together performances by various Algarve choirs as well as Sines’ Coro Atlântico Juvenil.
Festivities begin with a workshop for children and youngsters on May 8 (Sunday) at 3pm at Ferragudo church ahead of a performance by the Coro Atlântico Juvenil two hours later.
The week continues on May 11 (Wednesday) with a rehearsal by Grupo Coral Ideias do Levante – a choir run by an association of the same name. The rehearsal will be open to the public at Lagoa’s CEFLA centre at 8.30pm.
Finally, a closing concert will be held from 5pm at Lagoa’s auditorium on May 15 (Sunday), featuring performances by Grupo Coral de Tavira, Grupo Coral de Quarteira, Grupo Coral Adágio (Portimão) and Ideias do Levante.
