The towns of Lagoa and Carvoeiro will be celebrating Saint Martin’s Day in style with each locality hosting its own market to mark the occasion this month.
Roasted chestnuts, the traditional ‘Jeropiga’ alcoholic beverage, handicraft and musical entertainment will all be at the forefront of the events’ agendas.
The first market will be held in Lagoa on Saturday, November 12. It will take place on Rua 25 de Abril and Jardim 5 de Outubro between 9am and 1pm.
The Carvoeiro fair will happen the following day between 3pm and 6pm in the main square facing the beach.
The events are organised by the Lagoa and Carvoeiro parish union, with support from Lagoa Town Hall.
Admission is free.
