Ladies’ first autumn fair

THE WOMEN’S Royal Voluntary Service (WRVS) is putting on its first Autumn Fair tomorrow (November 19), at St. Julian’s School in Carcavelos, and proceeds are for charity.

You will be able to buy Christmas presents and cards, home produce, handicrafts and some great bargains. Also, try your luck at the White Elephant Stall or the Bottle Stall and, for the kiddies, there’s the fun of the Lucky Dip.

For lunch, the WRVS will be serving homemade quiche, savoury strudel, hot dogs, mince pies and mulled wine, and for tea there will be mouthwatering, homemade cakes and sandwiches. At 3pm, all eyes will be on the celebrity invited along to draw the lucky numbers in the raffle. With more than 20 superb prizes to be won, make sure you buy your tickets in time for the draw!

The fair runs from noon to 4pm. Admission is one euro for adults and free for children under 12.
