Knight Frank launches in the Algarve

ON MARCH 6, a well-known estate agent in the western Algarve changed its name and UK association. Nick Sadler, who has been the main drive behind the Hamptons International brand in the western Algarve for the last four years, has taken the decision to form a new association with the world leaders in the property market, Knight Frank LLP.

Sadler’s Mediação Imobiliária, Lda, which Nick Sadler formed and ran before Hamptons arrived on the scene, is delighted to announce his new association with Knight Frank. “The ownership of second homes abroad by GB and Irish expatriates has increased by an average of 10 per cent per annum over the past decade – we believe this rate is sustainable over the next 10 years,” he said.

The Knight Frank International Residential Division, headed by Paddy Dring, is based in Hanover Square, London. The International Residential Department handles the sale of properties in some 20 countries worldwide, including some of the leading resort destinations around the world including France, Spain, Balearics, Italy, Bermuda and the Caribbean.

Portugal was the missing link despite having a commercial office in Lisbon. Paddy Dring says: “We believe the Algarve market has greater room for expansion and have been looking for some time to work within the region.”

Nick Sadler adds: “Knight Frank have appointed Georgina Richards to sell property in the western Algarve from their London offices, so I am confident that all our existing clients will receive an even better service from the new venture. With greater investment in advertising and promotion, backed by total commitment from our international desk at Hanover Square, all our clients will benefit from this move. We plan to carry on giving both buyers and sellers the professional service they have come to expect from us in the past, well into the future.”
