King Felipe VI and Queen Letízia visit to Portugal

King Felipe VI and Queen Letízia of Spain were in Portugal on Monday (July 7) on their first official visit as king and queen to another country (after their ceremonial private audience with Pope Francis at the Vatican), in which they met with Portuguese President Cavaco Silva at the Belém Palace.
During the meeting, Felipe VI expressed his aim to work “side by side” with Portugal to overcome the “big obstacles” both countries face, namely their “high levels of unemployment”.
