Kids protest

MORE THAN 40 children are due to protest for the rights of trees today (Friday) as well as planting 2,000 of them, in front of the Palácio da Justiça in Lisbon.

In total, 3,000 trees were offered to Sintra Câmara by weekly Portuguese magazine Visão, after it published an article on the importance of forestation.

After 2,000 trees are planted with the help of the children from the EB1 da Portela de Sintra primary school, the remaining 1,000 will be planted by the Câmara near the Volta do Duche, Vila de Sintra, Parque Urbano de Cacém and Quinta da Fidalga.
