SOMALI GUNMEN have kidnapped two Italian nuns in Kenya and have reportedly now taken them over the border to Somalia.
Conflicting reports have emerged as to exactly how and when the incident occurred, however Kenyan police have said they are collaborating with Somali elders in a bid to return the captured nuns.
The Italian foreign ministry said it was working to secure the release of the sisters and added that they were working with the Papel Nunico in Kenya.
