Keeping the Algarve warm in the winter

Geoff and Carol Waller have been running their family business, Fires of Portugal, for nine years, providing a more economical form of heating for Algarve residents.

Geoff trained for his City & Guild qualification as an apprentice plumber and heating engineer for seven years.

He is a friendly and charismatic character originally from Sheffield and due to being a very hard worker he is well respected and highly recommended within the community.

Fires of Portugal are open all year, meaning installation of fires, servicing, repairs chimney sweeping and building services are available at any time.

An installation will usually take just a day, although if building or revamping needs to be done, it may take a little longer.

There are a wide variety of fires imported from England available to clients, including traditional style free standing wood burners and for those who prefer the more contemporary inset style, the locally manufactured Fogo Montanha range offers a beautiful alternative.

Geoff returns to existing customers for chimney sweeping services, which means that the company keeps a long-standing relationship with customers.

“Geoff will only install the correct fire for the space that needs to be heated, leaving everything as it was,” said Carol Waller.

“Many people seem to be looking for a more economical form of heating as wood burning fires are only 12% IVA and can be put against people’s year-end tax returns,”

Fires of Portugal have recently launched a new modern and detailed website –www.firesofportugal.com. Alternatively, please call Geoff and Carol on 289 489 958 or 967 721 209.
