Katharina Schlaipfer is the new general manager of the Conrad Algarve Hotel in Quinta do Lago, replacing Joachim Hartl who is now responsible for Hilton Worldwide’s affairs in Portugal and Spain.
“It is with great enthusiasm that I embrace this fantastic project at Conrad Algarve, one of Hilton Worldwide’s most emblematic hotels,” she said, taking up her new position.
Schlaipfer has worked as general manager at Hilton Brussels, Hilton Strasbourg and more recently at Hilton Florence Metrople and Hilton Garden Inn in Florence, Italy.
She knows Portugal, however, has family living here and says she is “in love” with the Algarve.
Schlaipfer speaks five languages – her native German, as well as French, Spanish, Italian and English. She also has a basic grasp of Portuguese.
