Alcoutim Câmara is financing the development of a local karate club which aims to offer martial arts lessons to children of the municipality as well as in the parish of Martim Longo.
The initial goal is to get 50 children learning and practising karate.
The municipal authority will thus be providing €8,500 to Club Karaté de Alcoutim e Martim Longo, and this will cover 50% of the monthly costs for students while also supporting the organisation of various competitions and events.
Anyone interested can sign their children up at any of the borough’s schools.
