Karaoke chaos as singer turns on GNR, shots fired

GNR police responding to a complaint about excessive noise in a café in Águas de Moura on Saturday night were confronted by a belligerent karaoke singer who refused orders to turn off sound equipment, and ended up attacking the agents, making off later in a vehicle with his father. According to reports, as the duo made off, one fired shots at the police. “No one was hurt” but the father has since been arrested for co-authorship of the crime of attempted murder. Says Correio da Manhã today, a cousin of the singer has also been arrested, but the singer, for the time being, is “in parts uncertain”, having reportedly made off in a black Mercedes CLS.
